 Simple, easy to read, repeatable, clean attractive design, what's not to like??? March 11, 2010

The thing is pretty simple so it's not like there's a lot to review.
One thing I've disliked about every OTHER scale I've ever used (except for the calibrated balances at the Dr's offices) is that not only do they vary all over the map, but they are not even repeatable. You get on the things, they tell you you weigh X. You get off and step right back on and they tell you you weigh X +/- a few pounds (or even more.) It is frustrating and misleading at the very least.
Not this thing, just tap it with your foot to wake it up (or tap it twice if it's sound asleep), wait for it to zero itself out, and step on it. Done. And it's repeatable.
And I appreciate the fact that it doesn't look like the same spring scales that have adorned bathrooms/workout-rooms for the better part of a century... It looks sleak and modern and, well, functional. And as others have said, I appreciate that the dial is easily readable, even from 6+ feet away!
Anyways, a simple, easy to read, repeatable, reliable, attractively styled product that performs a simple function with simple features and functionality and does so well.
What more can one ask for????

This scale is extremely consistent. Since buying it, I have come to realize that the 5 lb (plus or minus) weight fluctuations I thought I was experiencing over the course of a week or even a few days were due to a string of poor bathroom scales - not my body after all! Not only are the results consistent, but they are also accurate - within a pound or two of my doctor's scale.
As other reviewers have noted, the scale is a bit touchy about being turned on. I usually have to tap it at least three times in slightly different spots to get it to come on. This is a minor hassle and really does not bother me much, but it would be nice if future versions of the product were a little bit more responsive to the tapping.
The scale looks quite nice in my bathroom, has a very roomy deck, and is extremely sturdy and well constructed, so I am sure it will last for a very long time.
Overall, this item is a very good deal and I would recommend it highly!

This scale works great so far. It is easy to turn on, very repeatable, and is quite accurate. I weighed 6 bags of aluminum cans by weighing myself once, then subtracting that weight from the total of me and each bag of cans. The total came out within 0.1 lb of the weight reported by the recycler's scale. The display is bright and easy to read, and the design is very attractive. I am very pleased so far.
Can't activate March 11, 2010

I read the reviews about the accuracy and also the difficulty with activating, but I went ahead and ordered it, thinking that they had probably fixed the activating issues. After I put the batteries in, it calibrated and I was able to step on several times with different things I was holding to test the accuracy. It was great! However, I couldn't get it activated after that, no matter what I tried. I watched the youtube video with the guy that shows how to 'tap' it. I tried that and nothing happened. I contacted the company and they were VERY responsive and will be sending me their newer version of the scale where you just have to stand on it. I am very impressed with their responsiveness! I'm looking forward to getting the new scale.
Easily best scale we've ever owned March 11, 2010

This is by far the best scale we've ever owned. It looks fancy and is the perfect size, but more importantly it's extremely accurate. If you weigh yourself on an empty stomach, then after eating and then after using the restroom...it all changes accurately to reflect those different times.
The instructions that came with it were in a very easy to understand, concise format (thank you manufacturer, I appreciate that! I do not like lengthy text heavy manuals that I have to wade through to get instructions).
The weight capacity is excellent too and allows you to weigh a wide range of people. I tested the low end by putting one of my dogs on it because he'd just been weighed at the vet's office and it showed up accurate at 17.4. I had just been weighed at the doctors and the weight was accurate too.
I have never been pumped up about a scale before (usually a source of depression lol) but I really like this scale and would highly recommend it to people.
